Membership BLITZ!
Fall may seem far away during these hazy, crazy, lazy days of
summer, but it's not too early to begin planning for the State
Membership Blitz scheduled for the Columbus Day weekend
of October 13
th
& 14
th
. Get your Blitz on the Parish calendar
now, along with Information Nights, Insurance Nights, and 1
st
Degrees. Begin assembling a flyer to stuff in the Sunday Bul-
letin or hand out after Masses. Get brochures and recruitment
materials ordered from Supreme. Council Membership and
Retention Committees should be brainstorming now, planning
a strategy that will ensure a successful campaign. Fraternal
Benefits Advisors need to be contacted about providing a
listing of inactive insurance members in your area. A well-
planned Blitz will make for a smooth running membership
drive come October.
Grand Knights Seminar
The Grand Knights Seminar will be held at St. Joseph Parish's
Price Hall, located on Rt. 299 and Cleaver Farms Road in
Middletown, Delaware on Saturday, August 18 beginning at
8:30am. A continental breakfast will be available before the
meeting, and lunch will be served immediately after. All Grand
Knights, Deputy Grand Knights, and Financial Secretaries are
expected to attend this kick-off meeting for the new Columbian
year. A full program detailing both Supreme Council and State
Council agendas will be presented. This meeting will get eve-
ryone on the same page working toward a successful 2007-
2008 Columbian year. See you there!
Tickets for the State Council Football Pool fundraiser have
been distributed to the majority of Grand Knight's in the State.
This can be a great fundraiser for the State Council and indi-
vidual Councils. If every Delaware Knight purchases at least
one ticket and sells one ticket, this will be a winning activity. If
you have not received or need more tickets contact Ralph
Rossi, PSD at (302) 492-3590.

The cost is $7/adult and $3/child under 12 years of age. There
is a $20 maximum for a family (all living at the same address).
St. Anthony's in the Hills is located on Route 7, a quarter mile
north of the DE-PA line. Picnic Chairman Brian Dennis (302)
797-3008 is busy planning a fun day for all, so mark your cal-

with your fellow Knights of Columbus families.
