In November, Irene and I attended the Mid-Year Supreme Meeting in Atlanta, GA. Supreme
Knight Carl Anderson stated that we have a moral obligation as brother Knights of Columbus, in soli-
darity with our priests, to extend a sincere invitation to all practicing Catholic men to join us in our
quest to improve the lives of those in need. These should not be hollow words but should show our
continued efforts to support our priests in their mission to teach the Word of God and the principles
of our Church. Father McGivney wanted a council in every parish in Connecticut. Supreme Knight
Carl Anderson has stated many, many times that we should have a council in every parish.
Gentlemen, the second half of this Columbian Year should be centered around our need for growth. We are
all proud to be Knights and Catholic. Isn't it time we ask our fellow parishioners, neighbors, co-workers and relatives
to join us in our pursuit to be better Catholics?
May 2007 be the best year yet for you and the Delaware Knights of Columbus
.
Vivat Jesus!

My Dear Brother Knights & Families,
Once again, my brother Knights, we begin a New Year. As we begin 2007 afresh, we ask
God to continue to bless us in all our efforts and endeavors as we continue to proclaim His
glory. Let us use all those things at our disposal so that we may have a good and out-
standing year. My prayer for all of you as we begin this New Year is that you have a happy,
holy, healthy, and an enjoyable New Year! As always, I want to urge your involvement not
only in action but also with prayer.
May all of you have a Very Happy, Holy, Healthy New Year filled with God's Love and Blessings.
Fraternally in Christ Jesus,
Father Philip Siry, State Chaplain
